BeStillV2Unity is a nondenominational church

We welcome people of all races, colors, religions, social backgrounds and economic levels in dignity and with love. We take a positive approach to life, emphasizing the good in people and all of life’s situations.

The 6 Noble Truths of Unity

  • There is only One Presence and One Power in the Universe: God, the Good, Omnipotence. No matter what the outer circumstances may be showing us, God is ever present.
  • We are spiritual beings, created in God’s image; therefore, we are innately good. The Spirit of God lives within each of us.
  • We create our life’s experiences by how we choose to act/react to the events of our lives. By consciously choosing our thoughts and becoming aware of our feelings, we can change our reality.
  • Prayer and meditation open our insight, intuition, and conscious awareness of the Divine Presence which is within us always. Through daily practice we reconnect to this Presence. This is our inner work.
  • Through the practices of loving, kindness, and forgiveness we bring the Spirit of God into the world. This is our outer work.
  • We live these principles through practical application, by practicing daily. Remember, that which is done with ease, was first practiced with great diligence.

Unity

  • proclaims the divinity of Jesus
  • proclaims that all beings are a part of God, “Divine Presence” and therefore divine in nature.
  • believes that a person’s mind is his or her connecting link with God, “Divine Mind”
  • emphasizes the effects that every thought, word, deed, or habit has in creating one’s life, knowing that we come from the wellspring of love.

Unity seeks to relate religion to one’s daily needs, knowing that for every need there is God’s perfect answer. We access that answer through prayer and meditation, and in surrendering to that which we do not yet know.
