Seattle Unity Joyful Arts Ministry (SUJAM)
Every six weeks or so, we gather on a Thursday evening for a playful and passionate
worship experience, that also prepares the music for the following Sunday. No
experience is necessary; the music is easy and accessible for all. SUJAM Sundays
can explore artistic themes like dance, drumming, or visual arts – as well
as raising the roof with invigorating gospel and agape-style choral pieces.
Spring
and Summer Song class will be announced soon. Stay tuned!
DIOS
Recruitment and Training
Divine Instruments of Spirit is the artistic service
ministry that supports Seattle Unity and the greater
community. DIOS members are artists of any skill level,
beginners to professionals, who consciously bring spiritual
principles into their art, and courageously bring their art
into spiritual service for others.
DIOS is an artistic service ministry dedicated to embodying and empowering fullness
of expression in our worship, and in our lives. DIOS members are musicians and
artists of any skill level, beginners to professionals, who sing, dance, paint,
play, and pray. We consciously bring spiritual principles into our art, and courageously
bring our art into spiritual service for others. |
|
In our training
we crack open the treasure trove of spiritual gold that music
and the arts provide – joy, creativity, ego, power, illusion,
discipline, judgment, connection, bliss, serenity. Then we carry
the supportive energy of that large DIOS network back into our
individual communities.
For more information about the next DIOS training contact Erin McGaughan at music@seattleunity.org.
