Mother's Day
May 11 |
Treasures
for Mother's Day and Graduation gifts can be found in the
Seattle Unity's magnificent metaphysical Book Store.
Open Sunday's until 1:00pm, Wednesdays from 1:00pm - 7:30pm.
Mother's
Day several events will happen. During our regular
services, we will be honoring and remembering our mothers.
It's a Hat Day - you,
yes you, both men and women, are encouraged
to don your spiffiest chapeau, and strut your stuff.
Talented professional photographers
will be present to take a photograph of you with (or
without) your mother (in your spiffy chapeaus?). We did a
photo shoot like this last year, and it was a smashing
success.
Women Standing in the Park
Last year we participated in the program Women Standing
in the Park. We will again join with others nationally and
hold 5 minutes of sacred silence at 1 pm in Denny Park. If
you're intrigued about this, see
Standing Women.

Going Green -
In January 2008, Seattle Unity Church moved to
a Paperless Newsletters. To be good stewards of the resources of
the church and of our Mother Earth we are not publishing a paper
newsletter at this time. Links at the Seattle Unity website will
soon contain printable information sheets. To receive emailed
information about programming, ministries and classes
subscribe to our e-mailed Unity Updates. We send a long version
at the beginning of each month and then a shorter weekly
version. Send your email request to be added to our list to
anniec@seattleunity.org.
New Beginnings II Moves In
Seattle Unity is pleased to announce we are leasing space to
New Beginnings II as a temporary location. This local daycare, formerly
located at Group Health, is in the process of having a new facility
built in our neighborhood but it’s not quite finished and they lost
the lease on their present facility. They will use the Children’s
Chapel until March. They will need the preschool room and the
nursery until June. We look forward to working together so they may
continue to serve children and families. We thank Marelu Marson
Greco, our Youth and Family Ministry Director, for her flexibility
and willingness to share our wonderful space.
